The RSI cart is released by a signal being
sent to a 4-way valve, which in turn supplies air to the cylinder
controlling the stop arm. This can be achieved 2 ways.
PNEUMATIC 1: A cart , on the up-stream of the workstation, activates a pneumatic limit switch. 2: The pneumatic limit switch sends a signal to a 4-way valve. 3: The spool , in the 4-way valve, moves so that the output controlling the release of the cylinder is aligned. 4: 4-way valve sends signal
to cylinder
5: Stop unit drops. 6: Up-Stream limit switch
will reset stop unit.
ELECTRIC 1: After a predetermined count, an electric pulse is
sent to the electric 4-way valve.
2: The spool , in the 4-way valve, moves so that the output controlling the release of the cylinder is aligned. 3: 4-way valve sends signal to cylinder 4: Stop unit drops. 5: Reset stop 3 ways: A: cart moves off of present switch and stop unit is reset. B: Cart activates pneumatic limit switch, upstream, which resets stop unit. C: After a predetermined time, a
signal is sent to 4-way and stop unit is reset.
